This is not something you want to tackle on your own with advice from people you don't know. You could damage your voice and get nodules. How do I belt without damaging my voice? When you belt -- actually when you sing at any volume level -- the power and volume in your voice needs to come from your diaphragm, not your throat. Its all about proper breathing and supporting your voice with proper body mechanics.

When you sing, and you take a breath, do your shoulders go up? If so, then you're breathing too shallowly using only your upper chest, and tensing up your throat and larynx. You need to breathe deeply from your diaphragm instead. When you breathe, your abdomen should expand outward as you inhale, and contract as you exhale, while your shoulders don't move. Then you can support and control your breath - and the volume of your voice -- with your abdominal muscles instead of tensing up and forcing more sound out of your upper chest, throat and voicebox. Good upright posture will help a lot, too.

A good voice teacher can coach you on all of this. Good luck.
