Can incorrect installation of timing belt & pretensioner cause fault code to show faulty knock sensor?

Dealership replaced timing belt and pretensioner. Now check engine light is on. Fault code for knock sensor shows on read out. Did dealer mis-install timing belt, if so how do I know? Have another shop check the timing? Or just replace sensor.
