I have a 2006 Kia Sportage. My 3 year old somehow got her seat belt wrapped around her neck and it was very tight and the seat belt locked so the only way to get it off her neck was to cut the seat belt in half.How much does it cost to replace a seat belt?Yikes. Sounds like a defect if a three year old could have strangled in a belt. If you are able to appropriately document the accident, KIA may wish to replace the seat belt for you to avoid adverse publicity. Yeah right.
