How can I make a seat belt into a guitar strap?

I have seen people with seat belt straps for use on a messenger bag, and I want to make a guitar strap out of a Corvette seat belt. Where can I get the necessary material and how do I put it together? How can I make a seat belt into a guitar strap?First cut a belt of a wreck or buy a belt from a car shop.

Next cut roughly to length (too long never too short). Get a length slide adjuster - a dress shop is you're friend now - don't worry they'll think it's cool.

While youre at the shop buy a fabric hole puncher and some holeeyelets and a buckle - they have these things, trust me,

Punch or cut a hole for each stud - covers, hole reinforcers to stop it tearing. Punch holes for the buckle and slide - you're doneHow can I make a seat belt into a guitar strap?Friend, there are fine guitar straps for as little as $5 at your local music store. Why bother trying to make your own?How can I make a seat belt into a guitar strap?well you know on a guitar there is those button things to hook on the strap well saw off or cut off the end of the seat belt wear the metal is then fold the set belt in half then sew it together to make kinda like a ring depending on your size or height sew it together to fit you but before you do anything else try the seat belt on! and then attach leather or something strong to both ends cut an X in the center of both leather, for example, and sew or hot glue which ever one is easier for you then you attach it onto those button things on your guitar and WALLAH! you have your self a seat belt guitar strap my friend. Hope this helps! By the way you can get the sewing material at hobby lobby or wal-mart and also get the hot glue there. How can I make a seat belt into a guitar strap?Get a Corvette seat belt buckle from a salvage yard. Go to a guitar shop or online to find a woven nylon guitar strap of an appropriate width in the color you want. If you can't find it in a shop you'll need to order it on line, but the cheap straps should be just fine. Adjust the strap to maximum length, decide where you want the buckle and cut the strap at that point. If you don't have or know someone with good sewing skills a shoe, saddle or upholstery shop can sew the buckle into the strap for you. Can't imagine it would be too difficult or particularly expensive.
