Ok, first question is, does anyone know the belt colors in order starting from the White Belt. What comes next, then next, then next, etc.
My next question is, about how long does it take to go from belt to belt? Thanks. How long does it take and what are the BJJ Belt colors? While some places are different. They generally use the system as stated below.
For adults, there is usually five belts:
White, Blue, Purple, Brown, Black
There is technically a red belt rank after black belt, but that's reserved for the founders, the Gracie brothers, only.
You have to be at least 16 to become a blue belt and 19 to become a black belt.
It usually takes about one or two years to become a blue belt. While it takes anywhere from 10 to 15 years to become a black belt. However, this really depends on the individual.
It is rather difficult to go up in rank in BJJ, so a belt promotion in BJJ is rather prestigious within the martial arts.
For those 15 and under, there is usually four belts. White, yellow, orange, and green.
Of course this all ultimately depends on the instructor. How long does it take and what are the BJJ Belt colors? Thanks to Brandon for his input! I was curious myself so I got an %26quot;answer%26quot; all at the same time.
Nice to see that there are %26quot;serious%26quot; arts that don't %26quot;give away%26quot; or %26quot;sell%26quot; a black belt. My art takes about 10 years to go Black as well. :)How long does it take and what are the BJJ Belt colors?correct
